iTrinegy’s IT Transformation ‘Proof of Concept’ Service Short-listed for Cloud/SaaS Product of the Year Awards by TechWorld 2012 Judges

Cambridge, UK, and Reno, Nevada, USA, 6th September, 2012, — iTrinegy is pleased to announce that their IT Transformation ‘Proof of Concept’ Service has been short-listed by the judges at Techworld for the Cloud/SaaS Product of the Year 2012.

iTrinegy’s IT Transformation ‘Proof of Concept’ Service enables organisations to compare  application performance in their existing IT infrastructure and the proposed new Cloud environment in order to verify the user experience will be not be degraded when they migrate to the new environment. The attraction of this ‘Try Before You Buy’ service is that it can be delivered within the organisation’s existing IT environment and before committing budget or resources to a full Cloud deployment.

The iTrinegy IT Transformation Proof of Concept Service initially involves the benchmarking of application performance in the current IT set-up.  This is followed by a highly realistic emulation of any proposed public or private cloud/virtual network that will be used to deliver a Cloud-based service, which can be scaled to meet an individual business requirement. A full stress test of the impact of different network configurations and network conditions such as restricted bandwidth, latency and packet loss identifies how applications will behave in the new environment and provides full visibility of how this impacts application response times and ultimately user experience.  By utilising this service, organisations can dramatically cuts the cost and risk associated with undertaking any major changes to the network.

TechWorld, an IDG publication, has been running the awards in the UK for more than 15 years.  These awards are to recognise industry vendors and service providers who have delivered excellent products and solutions over the course of each year.  The program’s independent panel of esteemed judges includes professionals from leading associations, top consultancies, private and public sector organizations and key technology editors from Techworld.com. The awards assess each product on set criteria including features, functionality, innovation, performance, resilience, ease-of-use, fitness for purpose, price and market position.

Phil Bull, Head of Marketing for iTrinegy “With increasing reliance of the use of Cloud and virtualized environments, it is imperative that applications continue to work well over the new network configurations that will be required to deliver these platforms. Our IT Transformation service helps our customers to achieve this objective.” He continues “Being short-listed in the category of Cloud/SaaS Product of the Year and competing against companies such as; Axios Systems and Claranet, truly validates the continued strength of our networked application performance technologies.”

The Techworld Awards have firmly established themselves as the major infrastructure and networking awards event in the IT calendar. Recognising both products and users, the Techworld Awards highlight innovation on all sides of the IT industry. The winners will be announced on 13th September 2012, at Dartmouth House, Mayfair, London.
